Side-By-Sides
What to Know About Side-by-Sides
Side-by-sides can offer riders many great benefits, including all the horsepower you need to enjoy a fun afternoon riding the trails. There are lots of reasons to invest in one of these machines, but eventually, you’ll need to see them for yourself to decide if they’re right for you. When that time comes, stop by Enns Brothers in Steinbach, Manitoba and check out our wide selection of side-by-sides for sale.
What Is a Side-by-Side?
Utility task vehicles, utility terrain vehicles, or UTVs, are a type of off-road vehicle that handles like a car. There are foot pedals and a steering wheel to control speed and direction. There’s also bucket seating that allows passengers to sit—drumroll, please— side by side. Side-by-sides can often accommodate at least two or three people, although there are some models that can fit up to six.
Safety
One perk of choosing a side-by-side is safety. These machines often feature roll cages, which catch the weight of the body in the event of an accident. There are also many models that come with seat belts for added security. Of course, you’ll still need to wear all the proper safety gear, including a helmet and durable clothing, but the more safeguards you have, the better.
Side-by-Side Uses
If you do decide to invest in a side-by-side, you’ll be excited to know you’ll have many features and functions to choose from. As their name suggests, UTVs excel at utility work. They can often carry and tow more weight than other off-road vehicles and can feature more durable frames. Plus, they come with powerful engines to give you that extra something you need to get the job done.
There are also sportier models that offer more lightweight frames and agile handling. These can be better suited for trail riding or even racing, as they’ll give you more speed and a more thrilling experience.
If you don’t love the extremes, then consider looking for something that falls somewhere in between. More general models offer the best of both worlds so you can work hard during the week and hit the trails on the weekends.
