Enns Brothers and Countryside Equipment Merger

Why did this merger need to happen?

The owners of both businesses realize that they needed more critical mass in both geography and staff capability to deliver the level of product availability and service capacity that will be required by customers in the future. The two companies are very compatible in vision, values and view of customers and believed the match was a good one. With this union John Deere considers us one of their valued "Dealers of Tomorrow."

Why did we choose the name Enns Brothers?

We employed an agricultural marketing specialist, known to both companies, to do an independent assessment on various naming options. They clearly stated that Enns Brothers was the best option for two main reasons.

First, the Enns Brothers brand is probably the best-known equipment dealership name in the province. This is largely because of the decades of province wide, broad based media advertising, to urban and rural markets.

Second, if the company was named either Countryside or a new name, the cost to achieve appropriate levels of awareness in the current Enns Brothers geography would be very expensive and time consuming.

What does this mean for customers?

In a time when many companies face product allocation and delivery uncertainty, Enns Brothers customers will have a greater chance of getting the products they want, when they want them and the way they want them, because we will be in a better position to get the products we order from John Deere.

In a time when many companies face instability and uncertainty in staffing, Enns Brothers customers will be more likely to see consistency in the staff they deal with because we will be able to retain staff due to more career opportunities and better employment benefits.

What does this mean for staff?

There will be more emphasis on developing career opportunities, improving working environments and benefits that we could have accomplished before. With over 200 staff positions, Enns Brothers will have growing opportunities for team minded, hard working, positive people.
